Meet the Team
Hi we’re Abby & Lanie Greenbaum & we’re the faces behind Wild Roots Events. We’re a sister duo whose roots run deep in our homebase of Ohiopyle, a river town oasis located in the Laurel Highlands of PA.
Lanie recently moved back to the area after 6 yrs trekking the west with her husband Jake and 2 yr old son, Meyer. Lanie is a speech therapist by trade but has decided to step back from this profession to pursue her dream of event rentals, planning, and styling. Since moving home Lanie has been working with Ohiopyle Weddings to create intimate wedding and elopement packages for couples looking for an out of the box, non-traditional wed in the Laurel Highlands.
Abby grew up in Ohiopyle & has loved the Laurel Highlands too much to ever leave it behind completely. Abby’s passion for hockey led her to play at the collegiate level & go into a career of coaching girls hockey for the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite as well as Premier Ice Prospects. Abby spent 7 years working for the Pittsburgh Penguins helping grow the game of youth hockey. You can still catch her on the ice giving lessons or practicing with her nieces & nephews. A love for coffee led Abby to create a hobby roastery in 2015 which has been growing ever since. Ohiopyle Coffee Roasters is a small batch coffee roaster focused on providing fresh mountain roasted coffees from around the world. She, along with her mother Kim & husband Pete operate Ohiopyle Coffee Roasters full time.
